A friend of mine argues that its easier to access help in a mosque than in a church.. l asked him, why Stephen! He paused en told me, Seven am nolonger Stephen.. u can keep keep that name to your Christian selfishness. My new name is Musa Idris Mohammed.. Shocked l asked him, but u were a bible study leader! Stephen answers, Seven l realized l was leaving a lie when my only daughter died.. Am sorry my brother, what happened? Idris tells me, who is your Brother? l never saw Brothers when l needed help.. ok Idris tell me what happened.. He narrates,,,, Seven l went to church for financial help to help take my only daughter for an emmergency operation but l was asked to write a letter.. which l did.. they told me a committee would discuss it.. l waited for seven days and they came back to with a reply, Steve we are sorry we are unable to help.. our benevolent rules do not allow payments for a hospital bill.. they advised me to organize for a tea to fundraise.. Then what happened next? l asked ldris Musa.. He replied., l went to Jamia Mosque in town where l was introduced to the imam with excitement.. l was given a cup of tea and before l finished talkin the lmam had already picked his phone calling someone to come quickly, it was a signitory.. they wrote a cheque of kshs. 170,000 exactly what the hospital needed in my name.. so l knew the followin morning my daughter would be operated.. its that fateful night l lost my daughter coz of delay.. l had money from the mosque but it cudnt help.. l went back to the imam who sent his men to burry my daughter at karioko cemetery.. I had served in the church that denied me help for eight year and when they heard the sad news the pastor came with his members to visit and plan for my daughters burial.. l told them shes already burried by muslim brothers.. they got furious and left in anger.. My life has changed since then, the imam seconded me for a administrative job at the lslamic council and l now earn a salary.. we are blessed with a new babygal Najma and we thank Allah.. WHAT WOULD JESUS DO IS MY QUESTION FOR YOU MY GOOD CHRISTIAN BRETHREN?
