A friend of mine is considering a new Volt against a Prius C. His daily drive is 19 miles each way, but all highway at 70 to 80 MPH. I want to give him realistic expectations when it comes to battery range but I can only guess that he will not quite get the estimated 38 miles from a full charge at those speeds, since I drive mostly city roads 55 and below. What sort of highway range do you think he can expect? I think it will be close most days, but probably dipping into the gas fairly regularly, even with tires at 42 PSI. Thanks!
