A friend of mine, non comic book person (a physician assistant for surgery) is at a hotel in Connecticut where they have Hartford Connecticut comic con. This is what he just wrote me about being with the crowd. Mind you hes never been to comic con: Ok so I immersed myself amongst all the con attendees and I have to share my observations with someone who will understand. Very friendly and happy group of people, I am worried about their lack of Vitamin D (they are nearly all very translucently pale), some people are 100% in character at all moments, I have no idea what 90% of these characters are, I have only seen one Baine and Im surprised, some people come with their own photographer that just follows them around and takes their picture everywhere, I am developing a sudden fetish for these chicks in the Victorian dresses (I see this being a requirement of my next relationship) and finally I am filled with a sense of joy that people who might otherwise be shuttered in their homes due to their social awkwardness have a place they can come to express themselves. Props to you and all the people in your industry who provide this forum for them!! This made me smile really big!
