A friend on FB has written a very interesting note on Muslim population demographics. If you have the chance to go to the southern region of France, in Marseilles or Toulon, you would not believe your eyes, at the proportion of muslim people inside France. Even in Paris, muslim people are growing at extremely fast rate. I had read some European articles predicting that Islam will be the predominant religion in many European countries, especially in France ( due to North African immigration ), England ( from Pakistan & Middle East and sub-saharian Africa ), Germany ( from Turkey ), and the Netherland ( from South East & South Asia ) in the next 30 to 40 years. This is a direct result of past colonial rule by these European powers and of course, people from their ex-colonies have a tendency to migrate back to their colonial- time motherland, because of language and cultural affinity. But the fastest growth of Islam is in INDONESIA & South Asia. Another high growth region for Islam is the CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES ( that was the principal reason causing the fear & uneasiness for the Soviet leadership of Brezhnev, pushing the Soviet Union to send in Russian Army into Afghanistan, justifying its need to keep the Russian Underbelly of Central Asia under control because of the exploding Islamic population there ). In the next 30 to 40 years, assuming that the growth rate remains the same for Islamic population & non-Islamic one, ISLAM will become the most important religion of Mankind. Adding that factor to the coming struggle for resources ( OIL and water and food ), we shall face a bleak and dark future. The East, epitomized by CHINA, and the West, represented by the USA-led western democratic, materialistic, capitalistic countries and coupled with our Judeo-Christian religious belief and philosophy, could come into a shocking collision course. Therefore, there will be 3 focal points of rally in this future conflict, namely, the West, the East and Islam. I recommend to all my FB friends to buy and read the excellent book CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS, written by the famous writer-thinker & historian professor of one of the best American university, mr. SAMUEL HUNTINGTON, which could be very useful and instructive for everyones who are worried about the future...
