A friend said that he had not used algebra today. He started me thinking about other required subjects in school that I never remember using; algebra, geometry, english (I spoke a mixture of Southern and Appalachian English when I started to school and still do) cant use world history, the names of at least half of the countries in the world have changed their name since I was in school. My Daddy left school in the seventh grade to work to help his family survive, he could give me the answer to almost any algebra or geometry problem I asked him about, but he didnt know the formulas, that made his answers incorrect. I found in real life the answer was the important part, nobody cared how you reached it. Unlike many of you I do not have a college degree, I attended college for a couple of years, my degree is in life and fun, I learned a lot that was not in the text books. I feel that I have been successful in life for a boy that was raised in the community of Four Points, Jenkins Co. Georgia and cant think of anything major that I would change if I was doing it all over again.
