A fun, practical and fully functional modification I did to my A1200 a couple of years ago. Moved the PCMCIA bus to a cardholder that fits the entire PCMCIA card inside the chassis. The ribbon cable is soldered to a sacrificed CF to PCMCIA adapter thats been disassembled and cut to fit inside the A1200 PCMCIA connector so that I didnt have to modify the mainboard directly. This was in case the PCMCIA wouldnt work with the longer signal path and to make the mod reversible. Also visible on the pictures are the homesoldered FPU socket that I used before getting an accelerator in the early 90s and one of my two CF card holders. All three are mounted so that you can switch the cards without opening the chassis, and even Orinoco W-lan cards with the antenna-bulge can sit there with the antenna protruding. The pictures where taken before I mounted the second CF holder and before I got my Indivision AGA scandoubler, which actually fits underneath the cardholders. The small blue heat sinks are there because otherwise the custom chips overheat and start giving strange visual artifacts and crashes when running DblPal-screenmode.
