A general opinion on some things can be short sighted. To generalise a dog breed is not. Weve been breeding dogs to be what they are today, for centuries. My general opinion on Spaniels proves itself correct everyday, not just by my own but by EVERY SPANIEL I HAVE EVER MET. My general opinion on Staffordshire bull terriers is once again proven correct. Theyre loyal for unsuitable reasons. Theyre not all killers, but all incapable of being 100% trusted with their aggression. With all the stupid unlicensed breeding that happens in this country, a lot of them need putting to sleep regardless of whether they end up with a decent owner. The aggressive traits weve bred in them come out more in some staffs, but these traits are more prevalent across the entire terrier breed than others. Quirks just got attacked by one. Shes not a soft girl, making countless dogs of all breeds and sizes back down from her. But this morning I have NEVER seen her so terrified. Ive been bitten twice off staffies. One bit quirks when she was little. Another 3 have bitten Hunter (Hes 3). Ive never trusted them since being a kid, and that was my own instinct, before social media came around and saw everybodys opinions cohere. I dont stand today believing they should all be destroyed and replaced by spaniels. Im just stating, staffies, in general, are not a trustworthy breed. Im one guy with two dogs and cant be the only one who constantly experiences the wrath of the Staffordshire bull terrier?! I think all breeding should be regulated and licensed. I also 100% back dog licenses for owners which include extensive training before and after the purchase. If your considering getting a dog. Do just that!!!!!! Consider your knowledge and need of a Staff, Pit, Akita or Husky in your life. The above isnt a discussion.
