A gentleman named Denis Shaughnessy has just informed me that there is such a thing as an International Keats and Chapman Award -- no, I am not making this up -- given to the winner of a competition the rules for which are at essaydensushing.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/2013-international-keats-and-chapman.html. I am just a little . . . flabbergasted. Especially since I was trying at the time to remember a word that literally means "caught by the foot" or "shackled". (It is "impede". You knew that, of course, but I am becoming a little slow these days.) I beg yours? Oh, yes, of course, I may send a modest entry or three to The Supervising Committee for the competition, which is in Stockholm (where else?).
