A gifted person who could speak to Lord Vardaraja of Kanchi, by his devoted Aala-vatta Kainkaryam, meaning fanning the Lord to provide comfort to Him.Sri Ramanuja came in close contact with Nambi during his Teertha kainkaryam days. In fact ,Ramanuja wanted to adopt him as his guru but Thirukachi nambi refused saying he is born in a lower caste than that of Ramanuja and would not agree and break the code of Varnasrama dharma. When Ramanuja got the Holy Six Words spoken by Lord Varadaraja through Thirukachi Nambi ,Ramanuja fell under Nambis feet and fulfilled his desire to adopt him as a spiritual mentor. That reveals the greatness of Thirukachi Nambi. Note: When Ramanuja wills, he does it, of course with the backing of eda Purushan Sreeman Narayanan.
