A glimpse of love Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. We get a glimpse of perfect love in the poetic words in Psalm 86:15. We read that the Lord is merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in love. When you think you just have messed up beyond repair in your life, I ask you to remember this scripture. It is fact that God is merciful and gracious. It is a scriptural fact that God is abounding in love and is faithful to you. True love was seen on the cross in Jesus Christ. The Father will never leave or forsake you in your journey. We will have ups and downs in this life. We will have good days and bad days. We will not always feel like we are redeemed by His blood. In those moments of overwhelming emotion, just remember this scripture of His faithfulness. He is slow to anger towards you and abounds in love for you. Do not think for one moment that the Lord will punish you for being human because He sees past our mistakes and emotion. He is a great God, and He is looking to bless you in the abundance of His great mercies. Thought for the day The Father is faithful beyond our faithfulness. He is slow to anger and abounding in love towards you. Remember this fact when you are dealing with the stresses of the day.
