A good example of emotion vs feeling can be found in the reason we were given flight or fight response. When you are faced with danger it is normal to FEEL fear. This causes a reaction based on the best way to remove yourself from the danger. We were programed this way in order to keep us safe. The EMOTIONS come after the danger is gone. Every time you think of the event, fear returns, but it is no longer a feeling, it is emotion based on the feeling of the event. Emotions of fear, guilt, remorse, anger, that come from a place in the past or future, are what cause illness. They are the mind trying to control us. We can respond to these thoughts with love, and turn our feelings toward a higher vibration of trust, joy, enthusiasm, by thinking of events that have brought us those feelings in the past. Spend time today in awareness of how respond to others or events in the moment. This is feeling. How you think of the person or event later in the day is the emotion tied to that person or event. Play with the differences. Have some fun with this experiment. It just may be the key in choosing whether to be happy or sad, angry or forgiving, ....... All feelings were given to us to provide the fullest experience of life, to react appropriately in various situations. Feelings are genuine, instant and fleeting. Emotions are but memories.... Tomorrow, we can begin to explore the idea of feelings being expressed and emotions tying us down. Blessings
