A good friend of mine who btw is an awesome role model to her 2 adorable sons (aka: The Js) asked that today we all share a story of something GOOD since all the news feeds, tv etc seem to be filled with sadness, death, and political garbage talkers at their worst. So I am about to do just what she asked but before I do, I am asking you all who read this to do the same and please tag me so I can read it too. Ok, today was one of my not so good days medically. I am on medication that makes me sick to my stomach but it is a med I have to have as part of my treatment so I take it, grin & bare it trying not to let it get me down. It had got to a point where my nausea was just too much so I went for my Pepto Bismal and Ginger Ale only to realize I was completely out. Normally Steven would hop on his bike and pedal away to the store to get it for me but he works til 8pm. So, I forced myself to get dressed with the plans to wheel myself a mile in my wheelchair to the nearest Walgreens to get some. A week ago it was $5 which is exactly what I had left. I somehow managed to get myself to Walgreens, although I was in severe pain and very dizzy and ill by this point) only to find out that the price went up to over $8. I didnt freak out, I figured I would just head back towards home and stop at Big Lots. I get there to find only a double pack for $12. Ok, at that point I was about to pass out so I just bought myself a G2 so I didnt dehydrate. As I was drinking my G2 outside of the store getting ready to head home, a lady came running towards me yelling Miss...Miss I turned around to see what was wrong and she said. I remember you. Last Thanksgiving you gave me and my children your thanksgiving turkey and fixins when you found out we didnt have anything. You put a smile on my kids faces and food in their stomach. You were our hero and now Im back on my feet and I wanted to say thank you. I said...it was my pleasure and that I was glad to hear they were doing well. She said BTW, I think you forgot this. and she handed me the double pack of Pepto, insisted on driving me home and thanked me for being her answered prayer. I thanked her as well and wished her and her kids a beautiful & blessed holiday season. When I helped that lady last year and gave her our dinner, I didnt have money to buy myself another one or money to give her but I could never knowingly let any child go hungry so from my heart I gladly gave her the only food Steven and I had at the time. We ended up eating cereal for our dinner. I had no intention on ever getting anything out of that except knowing I did the right thing. Who knew a year later she would be my hero? My point is, when you do the right thing, what is in your heart, it always comes back to you. Maybe not right away but eventually in one way or another and will always leave you with a good feeling in your heart. God works in wonderful but mysterious ways! Have an amazing day friends!!!! xoxo-Pam
