A good passage to consider tonight... in the last 2,500 years, who has been the single force behind the subduing of three national leaders like Egypts Hosni Mubarak, LIbyas Ghaddaffi...and is now working on Syrias Bashar Al-Assad? Has this ever happened before? Daniel 7:24 The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings. 25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time. Consider these promised attributes of the antichrist: 1. He will be a wealth re-distributor - Daniel 11:24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. 2. He will be known for straight up-lying, and letting those close to him prosper in their lies. (cause deceit to prosper) 3. He will try to take the rich down a notch (destroy many in their prosperity) 4. He will think he is smarter than everyone else. To not agree with him will mean, in his mind, you are not smart. (exalt himself in his heart) 5. He will resist the Jewish people (destroy the holy people) 6. He will resist world rulers who defy him (destroy the mighty) Daniel 8:24-25 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. 25 Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means. 7. He will be lawless...that means he will disregard any laws that dont suit his desire: 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 8. Despite all these attributes, the world will recognize him as a great peacemaker because he will announce new covenants of peace! Daniel 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate. 9. BUT, the peace although it will convince the people of the world who dont care about Biblical truth...it is totally fake and will lead to destruction. His forcing together of coalitions that make no sense will result in widespread death: 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4 For when they say, Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. Dont be duped...you are EXPECTED to know what the Bible says! Samantha Stolz
