A good physical exam - in person - is sometimes the real key to diagnosis. Its less common, as doctors, who are pressed for time, order increasingly expensive diagnostic tests. It may be penny-wise, but pound-foolish: a few extra minutes with a doctor to check your eyes, or examine your toenails, can yield big results. How many people have had a full head-to-toe examination lately? Not many, Ill wager.
