A great big THANK YOU!!! to Afterburn Fitness and Naomi Bemis....I am a happy girl today, because...... (I have to preface the reason with an explanation for those who may think that this isnt that big of a deal: Obesity causes many unique fashion dilemmas that most people wouldnt even think about. For instance, after several shopping trips with an always-been-thin friend, she asked me why I never tried anything on. She was completely shocked when I told her it was bc the regular sizes where she shopped didnt fit me. The fat clothes were a-whole-nother dept., usually on another floor. She was clueless. but i guess if you never had to deal with something, how would you know. In that vain, most forever-thin people probably dont know that boot shopping can also be an issue. Even mainstream wide calf boots didnt fit my too big calves. I had to either by man-made pleather boots at the fat chick stores, or spend triple the amount for real leather ones online at specialty extra-wide-calf boot websites. And the part that really sucked....I usually didnt love them, and the ones I did really like only came in extra wide, not my size of super extra wide plus! (Yes, such a thing really exists....) Anyway, back to my news...and I am sure you guessed it by now....I went shopping today and tried on SEVERAL pairs of boots and THEY ALL ZIPPED RIGHT UP!!!!! Every last pair!!!! At first I thought I had to have picked up an extra wide pair, so I just kept trying them on, every pair in the store, bc I really couldnt believe it!!!! I can officially walk into a store and buy boots.... You have no idea how excited I am!!!!!
