A great first day on the road in my second Ebola related mission to my homeland. Kagbatama featured in a BBC documentary for its many ebola cases and no health center then is a different town than the one I first visited over a year ago on a special girls mission. But the beauty remains. The girls prayed. We listed to our pilot radio drama (which they loved). We had fun together. The community came out to join. And the girls got a solar lamp for their club. We then drove to Kambia to to find a guest house to sleep (medics occupy all in Portloko). But instead of sleeping our team spent the a good part of the night packing about a 150 bags with school and other dignity and sanitary supplies for ebola orphans and survivors. We are heading back to Kagbatama for distribution today. Thanks to all those who have supported these missions.
