A great friend, Saturday Night Live announcer Don Pardo died last night at the age of 96. Don and I and my brothers and sisters in our Saturday Night Live Band shared many laughs on stage every week, pre-show. The consumate gentleman, he was with SNL from the beginning in 1975 and only in the past few years had semi-retired to his daughters home in the Southwest, yet continued to announce every week via an M-Box! The voice of a generation, hed started at NBC back in 1944. Don Pardo had a career in radio, too and later became the voice for the original versions of Jeopardy! and The Price Is Right
