A great night with our Promisers... we watched the episode of What Would You Do from abc (https://youtube/watch?v=oc_K9c24R5o) and talked about real life situations for our participants who currently work in the community. If this seems like a hard video to watch, imagine what it must be like to live it. Our conversations included what do we do when we have issues with customers, how do we respond if we need help, and how to self advocate in a way that builds respect. As always, I am amazed by the insight and experiences that our Promisers share with the group. I recently posted about not using the R word. When you think about using that word, think about this video and ask if you would be okay with someone speaking to another person that way.
