A group of 19 Saudis sent by another Saudi (Osama Bin Laden) did a criminal act on 9/11. The proper response would have been narrow special forces strikes against specifically the precise people responsible for the criminal acts. How did this need morph into the full scale invasion and occupation of two entire nations? Two nations whose citizens had nothing to do with the attacks? When will the American people wake up and cease allowing oil companies and defense contractors determine our foreign policy? As far as atrocities: Soldiers occupying foreign countries commit atrocities. Some amount of this is inevitable no matter who the occupiers are.
