A group of keen Taupo fly fishermen are pleased to be bringing the Rise Fly Fishing Film festival to Taupo again this year thanks to some generous sponsorship from trevterrymarine.co.nz chrisjolly.co.nz Malcolm Mounsey Clarke Lawyers, grantandclarebayley.co.nz and fishysteve The show is for one night only – Wednesday 11th of September 2013 at Starlight Cinema starlightcinema.co.nz from 8.00pm. Peter has recently upgraded the theatre to digital, and the quality of the filming and sound will be awesome! You can also grab a beer or a glass of wine to enjoy with the show. For tickets, trailers and information go to gin-clear. Tickets can also be purchased through the cinema, or at Malcolm Mounsey Clarke Lawyers, 67 HeuHeu Street for $25.00 each. There are four films featuring two hours of great fly fishing footage for giant Arapaima and Dorado in the Guyana and Bolivian Rainforests, to brown trout in our own South Island. Don’t miss your opportunity to see this locally – it’s a great way to start the season! All profits from the show will go to “Didymo Dave” and the great work he is doing on the Hinemaiaia and Waitahanui Rivers with restoration and trapping. Manic Tackle Project manictackleproject have kindly donated a pair of Simms freestone waders and Boots that will be auctioned with no-reserve by Bayleys auctioneer Grant Bayley prior to the movie to raise a bit more money for Didymo Dave. All tickets purchased on-line through gin-clear will go into a draw on the night to win a half day guided fly fishing trip with Fishy Steve fishysteve. It would help us, and “Didymo Dave” immensely if you could spread the word by forwarding this email to anyone you think might be interested, or posting the attached, or a link to gin-clear on your facebook page or website. All that remains is to grab some mates and come along to enjoy. Thanks from the team bringing you Rise Taupo 2013! Look forward to seeing you at the show.
