A handful of individuals are exploring an awareness to initiate a run/walk marathon that will be circled around our “Indigenous Murdered and Missing”. Marathons have an energy that goes way beyond the fundraising fragment; to build on a healthy activity that many individuals can participate in and is grounded on supporting a cause as imperative as the “Indigenous Murdered and Missing” is extremely empowering to our people and our supporters. Another meeting to discuss the ideas of the run/walk marathon will be held on August 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm 445 King Street, Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, Inc. We would like to invite representatives from our community and community organizations to join us in exploring on how to bring this fundraising vision alive.
