A happy group of people celebrating the end of the Hobbit 3 - TopicsExpress

A happy group of people celebrating the end of the Hobbit 3 scoring sessions. Could NOT have happened without the contributions of everyone in this photo. On the music prep end, great appreciation and gratitude to Victor Pesavento, Jonathan Hughes, Mark Graham ( not pictured here) and all at JKMS. Without them, wed still be there. Special appreciation to all my guys who helped with the scores: Clifford J. Tasner, Bill Newlin and Chad Cannon- their fortitude and professionalism made it possible for us to meet every deadline. And none of this could have been managed without Mark S. Willsher ( last row, third from the left!) who knows as much about Middle Earth and its music as anyone-- his only competition in this picture would be Jonathan Schultz (2nd from the left). All of our efforts would be for naught without the genius and magic of Pete Cobbin and Kirsty Whalley, whose musical alchemy in mixing the score is nothing short of miraculous. Finally thanks to Paul Broucek (not pictured) and Erin Sculley for keeping the train on the tracks and on time. Beyond question the greatest contributor to Howard Shores score,in this photo or out of it, is the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Without them, the score would be but notes on a page. Looking forward to hearing the final result! Now,on to the next project!
