A hard lesson Ive had to learn: God is the only person that is qualified to measure our faithfulness and the reward that should accompany it. For many years I assumed my faithfulness to people, organizations, and or leaders warranted certain privileges or allowances. But what Ive discovered is while I was waiting for the people to respond, God was searching my heart. My faithfulness was not FOR THEM. IT shouldve been to God. When I started focusing the intent of my faithfulness on God, HE started warranting and granting me the privileges and allowances I was desperately seeking. CHECK YOUR MOTIVES. Who are we trying to please? Are we serving and sowing for people to be happy or are we serving and sowing for GOD to be pleased? If we are only doing it for people, then it wont last long. People are imperfect and will always do something to make us Doubt and question our willingness to serve. DO IT FOR GOD.
