A heads up to aspiring artists: Please be cautious of any companies out there promising you promotion, radio play, media placements, label pitching, facebook likes, soundcloud fans, etc. Ive gotten an increasing number of mass spam emails by companies asking ridiculous amounts of money to do what you can already do yourself - with little to no results on their end. If you are just starting out, the #1 person who can help your career is you, and its up to you to put in the grueling hours behind your computer networking, writing emails, and connecting with people directly by self-releasing material that you believe in. Working for yourself is free, just time consuming. If you truly believe in your art, sacrificing your free time is a small price to pay. There are too many sharks out there lurking in the depths of the internet, feasting off those who are oblivious and dont know any better. Before you give anyone your money, be cautious, do your research, and make sure they can provide something for you that you cant already do yourself. Your art is sacred, but the wisdom to protect your art is just as important as creating it.
