A heart warming tale here at CCC to end the week on. Love to one an all ❤ Meet Bobo; Bobo is one of four little black kittens who were born to a stray mother in the garden of a villa on Paxos in April 2013. Bobo had 3 bothers and sisters, but sadly, 2 of the babies didnt make it... In May 2013, a meeting that would change Bobos life forever occurred; Bobo & his sister met Mummy C. She fell in love with them at first sight, and when the time came for her to leave Corfu, she knew that she would have to return... The union between them had grown too strong to sever. After many anxious weeks of waiting, Mummy C made the long awaited journey back to Corfu, with one goal in mind. To bring Bobo home... Quite a bit of time had passed since her departure, so no-one knew if the kittens would still be there - let alone alive. But by some miracle, when Mummy C returned to the villa, almost 6 weeks later, waiting on the doorstep was none other than Bobo. A true tale of love, loyalty, and the power of the human (and animal) spirit, here is the story told through Bobs eyes.. SAVING BOBO On the night that we were born The storm came from the West Our Mummy wasnt strong at all But she did her very best In cold and freezing rain and wind We started off as four But two of us were taken - Tiny souls that breathed no more We were tiny black and furry With stickey uppy hair We tried to grow but it was hard The cupboard always bare Then one fine day came Mummy C And changed our lives like that She gave us love and lots of food Our tummies got quite fat! But then she left and once again We found ourselves alone Hunger, sadness, pain returned After all the love shed shown We cried and didnt understand But little did we know That Mummy C had great big plans With amazing love shed show My little sister Bebe Now lives with Auntie Dee She has roast chicken every day And is happy as can be Mummy C has saved us both And on a warm October day I travelled in an aeroplane To somewhere called UK For a better life than I now have The world youd have to comb Mummy C has taken me......... To my Forever Home! On 25th October 2013, Bobo - after spending the required time necessary for inoculations etc with us at CCC, Bobo made his final journey home to the UK, where the reunion at the airport was nothing other than extraordinary. Bebe found an adoring home here on Corfu; the guest that never left :) We adore her. With love to the two little black kittens from Paxos; god bless you xxx
