There are the ‘elites’ or those who are far above the poverty line and those below this marginal line or the ‘commoners’. There seems to be an imaginary walls which appears to separate the worlds of the individuals. Even superior countries are better known as the ‘First World’ and the deprived territories belong to what we call the ‘Third World’ country. Truth hurts, as the saying goes. And admit it or not, inequality is a very visible aspect in every nation. It is still an unresolved problem that seems to stick its roots in every generation. Watch this heartbreaking Thai short film which will surely knocks your heart. Although, unfairness of the world is bothering all of us, still there is the goodness of the heart. As what like the video is trying to tell us with the character of the poor old man, his little act of kindness, by giving to the little girl his only money, was being paid back also by kindness and he even gets so much more blessings after. This video is really an inspiring one as it aims not only to raise awareness of the inequality there is in the world but most especially to raise the moral of each viewers by touching their hearts about the truth that even when life bites us, a pure and genuine heart will endure it. Also, it mirrored the poor treatment of others to our elderly and also on how people can be so easily judgmental about the underprivileged. The video was in Thai, but it was flooded with comments of commendation in English and there was one viewer who stated that “I don’t understand what they said but really I did not need to know, just watching it I already knew what the video meant.
