A heart-wrenching story to share and some good people too. Yesterday I was flagged on a Chicago Animal Care & Control beagle with a damaged back. He had been sitting in a cage for 3 days suffering - the volunteers were crossposting and posting and BEGGING for help. I am a 1 woman show - and funds can be tight, Im far from Chicago and snowed in (dont have a local vet in Chicago) 1 of our friends was even there pulling for a rescue offering to pull but we are not a partner with CACC...... YET! I lost sleep watching the video last night knowing this team is great at helping the underdogs - but no way to coordinate - then this morning I KNEW there were angels in the world as a Rescue called https://facebook/GuardiansOfTheGreenMile go read in their page about this beagle - I love them - I hope you dont mind, but 2nd Hand Ranch has made a donation from our rescue to theirs - even if he does not survive the surgery - at least he will be in the arms of loving rescuers and made it out of CACC!
