A higher minimum wage sure does sound tempting to a worker like me, but I do know its a Trojan Horse, regardless of whether or not the economy is open to foreign businesses. I hope our local businesses wont see foreigners not just as competitors but also as helpers in the sense that whatever people they couldnt hire, the foreign businesses will take in for them. Also, foreigners can also help them up their game not just through competition, but also in the sense that foreigners can teach Filipinos some new business practices and even gain more technological advancements. Oh wait a minute, last I heard, Pinoy businesses are not just greedy, but are even lazy and stubborn that they want these... :P
