A horde of heathens are celebrating with me tonight as we mark the 19th anniversary of monthly uninterrupted pagan mens circles here in Niagara. I started this lodge, well, 19 years ago, a number I can hardly begin to fathom, I am sooo old ;)...This is the lodge that the Dragon Ritual Drummers were formed out of and where all our members, past, present and future come from...that band is not ringers, its from with in our own ranks and mysteries. We have shared with other pagan male groups across the continent and overseas in the mission. We have had esteemed guests and members from other legendary orders and traditions, the scope of what this circle has born, housed and manifested has influenced neo pagan magick on a global scale (in a good way) it is known. Lives have changed, marriages, births and deaths have all been celebrated, world travel, gifts and mysteries shared with other traditions, vows made, chaos ridden, battle lines drawn...nothing is left to its own in this world, and everything worth having is worth fighting for, and ultimately every member past and present has become a better man for their family and partner. Tonight is celebration, Valhalla would be proud of the amount of mead filled horns that will be raised on this day and well into tomorrow as we reflect on 19 years of an amazing ride of bettering ourselves with the grace of the spirits and the gods of our beautiful planet.
