A host of Manchester United players could be on their way out of Old Trafford this summer and according to Stuart Mathieson of M.E.N. , here are the players who should be fearing for their future. JAVIER HERNANDEZ Inter Milan’s president Erick Thohir has denied that the Italians have held talks with United’s Mexican striker over a move to the San Siro to eventually join Nemanja Vidic. However, there is interest across Europe in Chicharito. The 25-year-old has not started for Moyes since the Sunderland Capital One Cup semi-final exit and hasn’t begun a Premier League match in 2014. SHINJI KAGAWA This was meant to be the season the Japanese international would emerge according to former boss Sir Alex Ferguson. He had a difficult debut campaign due to injury following his summer of 2012 arrival from Borussia Dortmund. But the reputation he arrived with from the Bundesliga has not blossomed in England. Kagawa hadn’t taken his limited chances under Moyes and now with Juan Mata seeking the number 10, role a return to Germany looks on the cards for the midfielder. NANI United were happy to sell him to Galatasaray last summer but the Turks wouldn’t shell out the £8m asking price for the enigmatic winger - then United bizarrely handed him a new five-year contract in September! He has fought a near four- month battle with a serious hamstring injury and is unlikely to get much chance to change Moyes’ mind in the final weeks of the season. RIO FERDINAND Had very few opportunities since the New Year. In the one he played he was impressive against Arsenal as a sub, was comfortable at Crystal Palace but struggled in FA Cup defeat to Swansea and had an awful night against Olympiacos. A great servant and it is sad to see how he has nosedived under Moyes from last season’s great campaign. Moyes is now looking at a Chris Smalling-Phil Jones partnership, so retirement beckons. RYAN GIGGS Perhaps it was one season too many for the 40- year-old. Has inevitably been used sparingly and truthfully hasn’t made a great impact when he has had a rare outing. He should still be on that team pic for the new season but probably in a coach’s kit, not a red shirt. A fantastic clubman who can still make a contribution in that role. ANTONIO VALENCIA His gradual slide from a steady, consistently impressive winger who scooped prize after prize at United’s annual club awards in 2012, has been mysterious. His slump last season has not been arrested and the Ecuadorian has not been able to command a regular spot. Played at right-back at times and that hasn’t helped him. ASHLEY YOUNG The diving row hasn’t helped the winger and he hasn’t helped himself either. A one-time go-to England international now highly unlikely to make the World Cup. His United form hasn’t warranted a recall. Injuries have interrupted his efforts but he has not taken his chances. ALEX BUTTNER Bought by Fergie to put pressure on Patrice Evra and provide back-up, but he hasn’t been able to shift the Frenchman. Moyes is looking elsewhere for his next left-back with Southampton’s Luke Shaw the priority. ANDERS LINDEGAARD There have been just two matches under Moyes for the Dane with David de Gea fully established as the number one goalkeeper. He’s 30 next month and could well be looking for new pastures to give him regular matches. ANDERSON Currently on loan at Fiorentina. Appeared five times for the Italians since January move and came on as sub once and twice subbed when he started. Unlikely to see him in a United shirt again. What are your thoughts ?
