A huge THANK YOU to the Avalon Lions Club for replacing the porch, stairs and railing at the massive KISL studio complex in the Greenhouse at Memorial Park. Not only did the group give their labor and expertise, but they also donated $500 toward the materials! The first picture shows just how rotted out the old structure was and as the risk manager for Guided Discoveries (CIMI), Im doubly glad to see the hazard abated. As a former president of the Timberline Lions Club (Wrightwood, CA) Im super proud of these Lions and their work in the community. I regret that due to a business obligation I was not able to be on the island to help, but I will be offering my thanks in a couple of segments on Sundays Rapidly Rotating Records show.
