A huge milestone reached today-filly took her first steps onto a real race track with her pony, Turtle. :) She didnt flinch when some galloped by her, she took it all in stride. So....her owner, her groundwork trainer and her first rider---we have all done right by this now 4 year old tb or else today would have been a disaster. My niche is bringing along the youngsters so they are backed slowly thereby reducing future issues. Asking baby to deal with it becomes a non-issue when you put in the time of teaching them all they must know before starting their career. Shes a spitfire, shes sweet, shes respectful of the line in the sand, she knows a pointed finger means she better straighten up, she wants to please, she has her own agenda, she does it all her way, and she gives all she has to give when you ask. Shes The Perfect Storm in a nutshell. Were very proud of all our work and watching it pay off. Us three more mature broads are just over the moon-we done it right, ladies...we done it right!! (And, I remember the railbirds when I was first starting to get on her saying they could have had her broke in 3 days---yep, bet you could have but we would have paid a big price for rushing the process on this filly).
