A huge push of Pacific moisture will be moving through the region tonight and Saturday. Valley rain and mountain snow will develop, mainly west of the divide tonight and area wide Saturday. Rainfall up to three quarters of an inch near the Idaho border west of Missoula and Kalispell. The threat of rock and mud slides will exist from Lookout Pass to St. Regis and from Trout Creek to the Troy area. Rainfall of a quarter of an inch is possible in Missoula, Kalispell and Bozeman, and the equivalent in Butte where a slushy inch or two of snow will be possible with the rain. Saturday will be one of those days where you could see sunshine one minute, with a shower or even isolated thunder shower the next. Area mountains will be seeing snow. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY late tonight and Saturday for Homestake, MacDonald, Lolo, Lost Trail and Marias Passes. Snow of 4 to 10 inches, except 2 to 4 inches at Lolo Pass. WINTER STORM WATCH late Saturday through Sunday for the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains and Cooke City east of the Bozeman area. One to two feet of snow in these areas. A few more sprinkles and showers on Sunday. Highs in the 40s to lower 50s with lows mainly in the 30s.
