A huge thank you to Jewish Hospital for assisting Madeira PD locate the address of an elderly subject suffering from dementia. The patient walked away from her home without identification and she was very confused. A good Samaritan stopped her car and assisted the lady then contacted police. With the minimal information Officers had, they contacted Jewish Hospital and with the help of a fantastic staff, they were able to get a current address. Officers drove the patient home and found that there was a miscommunication between caregivers. Please use this incident as a reminder of the value of a medical alert/ ID bracelet for senior citizens.
