A huge thank you to Paul Nelson Photography for getting some great photos! Here is one of the many piles of boulders fields we ran/jogged/crawled/prayed through. Just past this section a fellow runner turned and possibly broke his ankle and had already turned back. It was a bit of an eye opener and gave me a bit of a reality check. Every few steps you would step on a boulder and it would move under foot just a bit to let you know that the volcano is alive and active, always moving, growing, and eroding...
