A huge thank you to our friend who was offered an SPCA puppy today at Pomona. The vendor asked her for $120 for the puppy, as he said SPCA would not refund him the adoption fee and he no longer wanted it. Our friend phoned us immediately and we were able to send our inspector who found him and removed the pup. Of course as soon as the inspector questioned the seller he said he was in fact not selling the puppy he was looking for a vet... It is illegal to sell puppies in public and you are required to have a valid breeders licence from the City of Harare. If you see a puppy vendor you can make a difference. You can call one of our numbers during working hours or collect a police man and insist the seller is arrested. The puppy can be dropped at any vet for collection by an SPCA representative.... A huge thank you to todays rescuer... you know who you are and today you saved a life!!!
