A huge well done to the City of Birmingham Gymnastics Club Artistic Voluntary Level 4 girls, Sofia, Sophia(Lissie) and Miriam along with Level 2 championship competitor Oriel all of whom formed respective parts of the West Midlands representative contingent at the National finals. All of the girls finished in the top six in their events which took place at the Guildford Spectrum over the weekend of 1st & 2nd November. In the Level 4 championships the overall combined scores from two events, regional and national, placed Lissie in silver medal position, Sofia in bronze medal position and Miriam in 6th position out of the fifty-four national finalists. In the Level 2 championships combined scores placed Oriel in 5th overall position out of her twenty-nine national finalists. This was a great result for Oriel who has spent the last two competitive seasons sustaining injuries that have hampered her development and this event has been her first national outing which is a great start to hopefully seeing her produce great performances in the year ahead. Great Job all around to the girls and their coaches both Krystie Newton and Head Womens Coach Jody Kime.
