A husband and a wife were getting ready for a dinner party and were already running late when the wife said, Ive got to pick up a dress from the cleaners, and I cant find my car keys. I need to borrow yours. The husband was stressing out and replied sharply, Okay, but hurry, or we are going to be late! Well, the wife got back from the cleaners, ran into the house, and changed clothes. Finally ready, the two of them dashed out to the driveway only to discover she had locked the keys in the car! At that point the husband lost it. He yelled, how could God make you so beautiful and so stupid at the same time? Without hesitation the wife shot back, well, He made me beautiful so you would love me and stupid so Id love you. Our typical response in stressful situations is to point our fingers at someone else usually the closest one to us. Its one of many petty games that easily creep into relationships and cause a kind of relational paralysis!!!!!
