A lack of knowledge on the topic is the very reason I dont use the label atheist to describe myself; not ignorance but rather meta-knowledge born of necessity (truth arising without the need for pretext). Ticking the box agnostic on forms, I often find myself angstily mocking the question. Afterall, because I dont know for certain, it would necessarily attempt to distinguish me from some group of people who apparently do. I wonder if theres another way to put that using space and time more efficiently with fewer words... Gods punishment unto me is ironic bureaucracy... but then its not as funny.
