A lady Doctor had complained to Cplc that she was receiving extortion calls n was threatened for murder in case of non Payment. Cplc team started joint investigation with SIU police and traced the hideout of the accused. It was also ascertained that this was the same accused who had earlier threatened several Doctors and also had received money from various victims. Today early morning when raided the hideout in Jamshed Quarter area the accused namely Syed Inayat Abbas Kazmi s/o. Khuhnood Kazmi, age 30 years started firing on the raiding party . As a result of exchange of fire the accused was injured and finally arrested . He admitted the offence and also disclosed several other cases in which he extorted money from several other Doctors. Two of his accomplices ran away taking advantage of the dark. Search for their arrest is underway SSP Mohammad Farooq Awan
