A lady named Ashaba Annet, born on 07/01/1988, from Sembabule District, today morning walked into Workers House using the Northern Wing at 8.45am. As is the case for all people entering the building Ashaba Annet proceeded to be checked by the security guards at the entrance. She identified herself with her passport (No. B1026181) after which she was allowed to proceed to the 14th floor. On the 14th Floor, she was seen by one of the cleaners, trying to jump through one of the windows next to the lifts. The Pinnacle Security guard stationed on the 14th Floor responded to the cleaners’ alert, but it was too late to save the life of Ashaba Annet. We regret this unfortunate incident and would like to send our condolences to the family of the bereaved. Police has taken the body to Mulago Referral Hospital for a post-mortem. All her personal belongings found on her body, have been handed over to police. We, together with Knight Frank, the managers of the building and Pinnacle Security who are in charge of Workers’ House security shall cooperate fully with the police, during the investigation and more details will be availed as and when they are available.
