A lady told me a story when they used to pick cotton when she was a small girl they loved to here the Katy Doodlebug coming up from Altus, OK as it approached Mangum, OK it would sound the air horn at the road crossing and that meant it was lunch time! This one used to be a motorcar but something vital wore out and instead of fixing it Katy made it into a passenger car and towed it behind another motorcar until Gould, OK needed a new station they pulled it off the tracks and used it as a new Railroad Depot. Then when the line closed down completely they moved it to Hollis, OK and put it at their rodeo grounds for a snack bar where it still is today, but no longer a snack bar now its just full of trash. Wouldnt it be great to move it back over here to the Old Greer County Museum & Hall of Fame Inc. in Mangum, OK clean it up and set it near the old Martha Depot where it used to pass by! :)
