A last say, before the fun, but please Listen well Fun time is Monday, a congregation, I hope, of well-meaning people out To express a love for country too and For a re-awakening. There’s a lot that Can be done with a people wide awake, Ready at first to have fun expressing Themselves, by simply being there, As if just a walk in the park, just to be seen, Not yet with outstretch arms and grim Expression on their faces, still with a smile On their faces and with open arms. But mark you me, don’t me misled, this is just A beginning - an opening given to the powers That be - you are forewarned, this time with A smile, and a hope for a meaningful change - You powers that be, heed then and listen well, It happened before, the smile may change, and you may see a growling tiger, ready to unleash A force enough to engulf us all. Oh, you powers that be in this unique land of ours And oh, God of mercy - show us the way, let there be A meaningful change in the way we do things - away With corruption and bad governance, too much is too much, And while we can smile and still walk in peace a while, Tomorrow may be a long march to hell – if you don’t listen well.
