A law that is not enforced is no law at all. International or otherwise. If the U.N. does not enforce international law, who does? If someone wanted to take America (USA) to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) like others have, how would a judgement against America be enforced? The UN Security Council can decide NOT to impose consequences on a judgement of the ICJ if one of the five permanent members vetoes to do so. Guess what, the USA is one of the five members. So its not going to happen. I mention this because there are those who believe that if the US is in violation of International Laws regarding their freedom/sovereignty they can be held accountable. To them I ask, how? And please do not chuck a bunch of laws from Black Law dictionary at me. My argument is not that certain laws were created but how and by whom are they to be enforced. In fact, that goes for any law in and out of the US that you think can protect or free you.
