It is not for the faint hearted; he sets the bar very high. This is definitely a book about obedience and discipline. The first read leaves a person realizing how far they have to go to walk in a manner worthy of their call. Heed his words and subsequent reads will demonstrate the measure of growth that spiritual formation produces. This is not the feel good post-modern talk that looks for emergent leadership; this is full on 1 Timothy 3.
