A legend in his own lunchtime, that was the late great Frank Sidebottom, AKA Chris Sievey, leader of The Freshies, who had a top 50 hit with the great single Im In Love With The Girl On A Certain Manchester Megastore Checkout Desk! Frank himself though took his papier mache head and his sidekick Little Frank along to Yorkshire TV who gave him his own series, Frank Sidebottoms Fantastic Shed Show. His Oh Blimey Big Band featured DJs Mark Radcliffe and Chris Evans and he was later immortalised in the indie film hit Frank which confusingly want actually about him despite the papier mache head on the lead character!
