A legit question from a SOMATIC Convention participants? Bakit - TopicsExpress

A legit question from a SOMATIC Convention participants? Bakit daw may entrepreneurship talk during the SOMATIC Convention? Here is the answer to that: As SOMATIC therapists, we encourage our members to be responsible social entrepreneurs. To establish their own centers and practice. We are not saying that being employees is a bad thing. We are just saying being your own boss is a better thing. Though it is not for all. Next question. Bakit daw entrepreneurship and di na lang pagtatayo ng clinic? Answer: Madali magtayo ng clinic. HUmanap ka ng space. Lagyan ng treatment table, design, curtain, tables and chairs, then you have a clinic. With regards to paperworks, well barangay business premit, DTI and then City hall Business Permit. Taxation is the most challenging kasi ang government mismo di naiintindahan yung gusto nya kunin sa taong bayan, more so sa professionals. Believe me that even if you are able to do this, you will need a bookkeeper and accountant. This is more efficient than doing it yourself. But the hard thing is to start a practice, more so, sustain it. Without the entrep mindset, clinics usually closes because they are not mentally and psychologically prepared. Another question. Bakit daw ayaw kong maging employee na lang? Simple lang. It is not my calling. If it is for me, then I will be happy and contented. But it is not. I am not contented of just receiving 15th and 30th salary. I want to control what I want to do with my time. Instead of being employed, I want to hire people who wants to be employed. But as I have said, this is me. And most of the core members of SOMATIC are advocating Entrepreneur mindset. It may not be for you, and it is a respectable and honorable thing. But, this may be for you too. And, what you need is just someone to show it to you. Last question: Bakit daw andaming nakasked na training? Marami na po talaga. But most of those trainings started way back 2008. SO last are updated trainings. Also, it is not meant for someone to attend everything. Only those that you feel and think would make you better therapists and clinicians. It only appears to many for those you are still too young (ngayon pa lang na exposed) and to those who procrastinate (dati na nila gusto, pero laging pinagpapliban, until dumami na yung trainings). If it appears to be too many for you, then you should focus on the what you need. Things that will be bring you from where you are now to where you want to be. And there are many ways to get there. BUT you must already start doing it because time waits for no one. Sabi din nung iba di raw nila nagagamit. Our group reflected on this already. We sort to identity those who said they are not able to use manual therapy. THERE ARE 3 GROUPS; 1.)THOSE WHO NEVER FINISHED THE TRAINING; 2) THOSE THAT FEELS THEY MANUAL THERAPY IS A CHALLENGING THING A THEY CAN NOT DO IT 3.) THOSE THAT COULD NOT TALK TO THERE SUPERIORS ABOUT IT. The fourth group is those that dont care about manual therapy (but based on experience of other specialization in therapy, from pedia to geria, sports to neuro, there are manual therapy and osteopathy bits in every area) I may be wrong. But as I have said, manual therapy is not for everyone. Ang nakapanghihinayang lang, yung iba, di pa nasisimulan, tinapos na agad. But as I promised in the convention, we will strive to move forward and anybody is welcome to join along.
