A lengthy remodel... Last year I decided to remodel my living room.... I had never done this before but I was sure that I could handle it. I tore the old carpet out, scraped the linoleum up, replaced some windows, caulked all cracks, repainted, put down hardwood floors etc. Looking at it now...its awesome. But the process was loooong, painful, expensive, VERY tiresome, & aggravating. I ran into many setbacks and wanted to quit MANY times! But the end results are well worth the effort. Isnt that the same way it is with our life? For years I allowed anything & everything to determine who I was. So after I met Jesus & the rebuilding process started I quickly realized that it is painful, tiresome, expensive, very aggravating & I have wanted to quit MANY times but in the end it will be well worth the effort. Let me tell you something, Its tough to change a donkey into a racehorse. So when you see a brother or sister struggling & wanting to quit this race were in... Encourage em, help guide em, pray for em, give em a hug, text em, call em, go see em, let em know that YOU care. Next week it may be you that needs it. WE ALL NEED HELP. This is an endurance race, not a 50 yard dash. Dont give up on your loved ones if you see em falling back a little bit. Theyre probably just fatigued.... Help em out. THEY NEED IT! God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (1Peter4:10)
