A lesson about dancing in the rain: Everyone gets hit w/ road bumps, and trials …it’s nothing new. Our strength, our love, and our faith aren’t tested when there are no worries, no hurdles, no road bumps, no disagreements, and no dark skies. Anyone can be happy, love hard, and be positive on the really good days bc its easy… It doesn’t require much effort, love, or work. It’s in those moments when our backs are against the wall, life is throwing darts, we can’t seem to catch a break, can’t seem to get it right…that our faith, our love, and our strength are tested the most. I used to wonder why God would let us go through such hard times. Why doesn’t he care? I still don’t understand it all, but I am starting to see the beauty in some storms. Maybe he knows we get in our own way, we can hinder our own growth…so he lets us get broken down a bit. So then we have no choice to cry out for his help and admit we don’t have all the answers. Maybe it’s to gain a deeper appreciation for those in our life. Whatever IT is, his plan is always better than ours. And it always gives better results than our own temporary fixes. Growth rarely happens when you know all the answers and are at your best. And it usually doesn’t feel good at first…but eventually you come out being better than you were, stronger than you were, more appreciative than you were, smarter than you were, more loving than you were. You don’t realize your strength when things are easy…its when they are hard.
