A letter to Bill de Blasio……… This is a sad story of how New York City is trying to run food trucks out of business. They sell citywide permits to trucks, but not one day goes by in which multiple summons are not issued to all. The Green Radish is on a mission to make super healthy, fast food more accessible. Instead of a ticket everyday, I (very naively) had hoped for the complete opposite. So few trucks deliver vegan, organic, and Non Gmo food to New Yorkers. And none of the so called healthy, natural eateries that claim to, do so. What would put a smile on my face and give me even more incentive to get up at 4am everyday, is a thank you note instead. Something like this…. Dear James, Thank you for standing up for people’s health and not serving GMO’s, which I realize means far less profit for you. There will be no more tickets —-just apologies for the thousands and thousands of dollars your new business has spent on tickets. I assure you that there will be no more going forward.
